Ownership Anyone?
We believe there is a systemic lack of ownership by all parties in the design industry. While our competition delegate & point fingers, we aim to serve our clients by taking control of the design and making things simple for all parties.
By providing both Architecture and Interior Design under one roof we eliminate the additional and always missed coordination that hiring two separate consultants creates. The costly problems in construction always arise at the hand off. We provide tremendous value by minimizing these issues through deep coordination with our necessary consultants and by taking full control of the design.
If an Architect or Designer spends 95% of their time in the office can your really expect them to execute buildable details? Can a contractor really determine the best way to build something without having the experience to visualize the design? How can either of them serve the client well without having walked a mile in their shoes? Rostrata’s founder Donovan Ballantyne AIA, NCARB, understood early on that perspective is what is missing throughout the industry and chose to work as the architect, the designer, the owner & the contractor. We believe that this perspective & knowledge separates us from anyone else in the industry.
Walk a mile in everyone’s shoes
Perspective
Our objective is to be a true partner, offering General Contractors clarity instead of confusion. We organize our drawings and facilitating seamless communication with all parties so everyone is clear from the beginning. Our commitment extends beyond the design phase; we actively engage in the construction process and provide a significant onsite presence. This proactive involvement allows us to contribute to swift decision-making, ensuring our projects have continuous momentum and success.
Together we can do great things
True Partnership
Donovan Ballantyne, AIA
Founder
Founder Donovan Ballantyne AIA, NCARB, has devoted the last 20 years contributing to over 100 significant projects worldwide, totaling a development value reaching $14 billion. In his recent role as Director of Design at Station Casinos, Donovan successfully managed many of the key projects for the company, most importantly the new Durango Casino & Resort, where he played a central role in resolving all the challenges and design decisions that came up during construction. With a 2-year construction schedule and an incomplete design set there were many costly lessons from this project alone from which Rostrata clients will be the beneficiaries of avoiding.
